Nail art is more prevalent than ever on runways, so we thought we'd get a little experimental with ours. The inspiration: Chanel's classic cap-toed, two toned ballet flat. The polish: Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour in Beige, Black Satin, and Particuliere. We opted for double dipped tips, which are more interesting than a single strip of color at the tip of the nails. With a nude base, the result is classic and clean. The black tips keep the look from being too sweet. To start, you need three colors - a light, a medium, and a dark shade. Here, two coats of Beige were used for the base. Next, a swipe of Particuliere was painted across the end of the nails, mimicking the nail shape. Finally, a skinny sweep of Black Satin was added to the tips. It helps to have a steady hand if you're going to try this on yourself. Otherwise, let someone else do it for you!
