|Eyes: Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Cream Shadow in Emerveille / Chanel Inimitable Mascara|
I have fallen in love with Chanel Illusion D'Ombre long-wear cream eyeshadows. They glide on really smoothly and have a lightweight, mousse-like feel. One of my favorite shades is Emerveille, which I am wearing in the top photo. It's a pretty peachy pink that I use almost every day as an eyeshadow base. It looks good worn alone for a soft look. You can also use this one as a highlighter on the bridge of your nose and the high points of the cheekbone. For a more dramatic look, I love Mirifique, which is a gorgeous shimmery black. It creates a perfect smokey eye when smudged all over (see below photo) and can also be used as an eyeliner (which is what I did in both photos). It glides on easily with a slanted eyeliner brush. The cool thing about this formula is that you can control the intensity. Below, I had applied a light wash of black over my lids, which gives it more of a charcoal effect than stark black. The cream shadow can be layered for a darker effect. A great inbetween shade is Ebloui, which is a brown with a deep berryish pink hue. This one looks good worn all over the lid or at the crease to create a little depth, like I have done in the top photo. Each cream shadow comes with a brush but can be applied with your fingers.
