Jeffrey Campbell Wishlist Boots Love

Mary's cardigan and dress: Free People / Boots: Jeffrey Campbell

Our love for our Jeffrey Campbell Wishlist boots never seems to fade. These have been a favorite of ours for the past several years. Lindsey got hers in 2010 from the Free People store in NYC before these became really popular. I ordered mine from Ebay last winter because everyone had sold out of the brown distressed leather. I recently spotted some black leather ones on Shopstyle.com. The brown is still my fave though : ).
We still count on these boots to get us through the winter, but even though it's starting to warm up outside, neither of us are putting them away just yet. We love the look of these boots with jean shorts and sweaters and with dresses, like my Free People Huntress of Man dress, pictured here. We love the contrast of these rugged boots with a girly or lacey dress, and of course, they look amazing with jeans and a cotton tee. If you do plan on wearing these with shorts, you might want to consider wearing a pair of leg warmers with them (I always do because they help keep my boots from slouching).

Happy Monday!

Ruby Red Slipper Nails

Rings from left to right: David Yurman, Judith Ripka, Elizabeth & James

No one does glitter nail color quite like Deborah Lippman. One shade that has made a lasting impression on us is Deborah Lippman’s Ruby Red Slippers. This is definitely a statement polish. The glittery flecks of black sparkle mixed in with the red makes this nail color special – it’s pretty and girly but with a dark little twist. We noticed that the black in the formula stood out a little more than expected, but we love how it looks. We love the dense effect. The glitter specs are not sparse and spread out like many other sparkly polish formulas out there. So, thoughts on this nail color?

Lancôme Metallic Loose Powder Eye Shadow

Eyes: Lancôme Artliner Precision Point Liquid Eye Liner / Ulta Eye Shadow / Lancôme Loose Gold Dust Powder
Gold is without doubt my favorite color eyeshadow to wear. Always has been. It works for any occasion, and depending on the shade, it looks flattering on everyone. It looks great on its own, and it looks good blended with any other eyeshadow color. In these photos, I am wearing an amazing loose powder gold shadow dust by Lancôme, La Poudre Aux Yeux Loose Powder Eye Shadow, which I love to blend on top of other eye shadows. Here, I have layered it over a warmer, deeper gold shade of eyeshadow by Ulta, which I first covered my lids with. I concentrated the Lancôme loose shadow dust (which is a lighter shade of gold) from the inner corners of my eyes to the middle of the lid. I just used my finger to blend. I love the effect, and I love this gold dust. The powder dust is very fine and very shimmery. I always get major compliments when I wear it. I have tried to find the shade online that I'm wearing here, but I can't seem to find any in stock. The closest I have found that's available is Lancôme Les Paillettes Aux Yeux which comes in two options -- Putting on the Ritz, which is a gorgeous rose gold, as well as Lumieres de Paris, which is a cool shade of silver.

Have a great weekend!

Hair Teasing Dust

When it comes to my hair, I am always trying to pump up the volume. Especially now that it has gotten longer, it seems to be a little heavier and flatter than what I'm used to. A new product that I am currently using (and loving) that helps with this issue is Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Teasing Dust. It is basically a volumizing powder for your hair. A bit different than dry shampoo, this powder grain is finer and feels cool when applied to the roots. It gives a more plumped up, teased effect than what you get from the dry shampoo. The increase in volume is immediately noticeable. It visibly lifts the roots, which I love. While I like to use my Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo at night, the dry teasing dust is best reserved for daytime use. Nothing like instant gratification :). Happy Wednesday!
x, Lindsey
