We are really liking MAC's latest collection, Archie's Girls, which just hit MAC stores yesterday. The shades are very girly and pretty, and we think they make a great choice for Valentine's Day makeup. The colors Lindsey is wearing here were inspired by girl-next-door Betty and are more pink and flirty than the dramatic purples and berry shades in the Veronica collection. What first attracted us to the colors in the Betty collection was the gorgeous coral pink lipstick, Betty Bright, $16.50. On Lindsey, we topped it with a coat of Kiss & Don't Tell Lipglass, $16.50. On her cheeks, we used Betty Powder Blush in Cream Soda, $22. We agree that this blush is a great daytime option - it's a pretty, subdued coral that isn't bright like a lot of corals tend to be. By the way, scroll down to see the actual products and where we pointed out what we used on Lindsey. As for Lindsey's eyes, we blended shimmery champagne and chocolate colored MAC shadows and then topped it with a shimmery pink pressed pigment. Lindsey's eyeliner is Archie's Girls Pearglide intense eyeliner in Black Swan, $16.50... LOVE this eyeliner! It is a super-pigmented glittery black that glides on like a cream gel formula. We can't get over how rich and intense the color is... and coming from a pencil! One thing to bear in mind about this eyeliner... don't use it on the inner rims of your eyes. Outside only. It will irritate your eye if you line the inside. If you must have your inner rims lined, just use a different eyeliner pencil for that part. Finally, we swiped the lashes with Betty Opulash Mascara in Optimum Black, $17.50. We like the fat brush shape of this mascara, and the pointed tip makes it easy to work the corner lashes. We noticed that this formula is very clean - there were zero clumps.
