In June's issue of Allure, we came across an article on Tracy Murphy, a makeup artist who has prepped Sports Illustrated swimsuit models for shoots for 11 years. She apparently uses a concealer on the models that we have been a fan of for a couple of years now - Lancôme Effacernes Protective Undereye Concealer ($32). For a decade, Murphy reportedly has relied on this concealer for its waterproof and sweat-resistant powers. What is nice about the concealer is that the coverage is pretty natural - basically medium. A thicker formula might look more cakey when wet. From personal experience, we would not go so far as to say it's completely waterproof, but it is extremely water resistant. In colder months, we like to use a more full coverage undereye concealer, but in the summer, it's better to opt for a medium formula like this one. As you can see in the photo above (Mary is wearing the Medium Bisque shade), it does a nice job of hiding dark circles and evening out skintone. If this is what Murphy turns to for SI shoots, you know it must be good.
