Concealers For Hiding Dark Circles

Lindsey's Under Eye Concealer: It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye / Eyes: L'Oreal Lineur Intense Liquid Eyeliner in Black / Lips: Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in 003 by Kate Moss
After our post Tuesday on the secret weapon concealer used on Sports Illustrated swimsuit shoots, we got some more detailed questions from you about concealers... Specifically - what concealers are best for hiding dark circles and lines? We'll start with the one Lindsey is wearing in the above photo. It's Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer by It Cosmetics, which is $24 at Beauty.com. This is a full coverage concealer that addresses dark circles. What we like about this one is that the tiniest dot is all that's needed under each eye. We use our fingers to dab (not rub!) it on. It Cosmetics suggests using a concealer brush for more precise application. The best part is that the formula is concentrated with vitamins K and C, which help fight fine lines. We like the results so much with this concealer, that we've started looking for eye creams with vitamin K. The latest concealer that we've tried and love is Conceal FX Camouflage Concealer, $27 at Sephora.com. We actually like this one better for summer because the coverage is a bit more lightweight than the Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer. This concealer does an excellent job of hiding dark circles - without creasing. We really love it! It comes in six shades - "Light" is the one that works with our skin tone. The Conceal FX might just be our favorite. Finally, another concealer in our makeup bags is Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Flawless Wear Concealer SPF 10, ($22). This is the most lightweight formula of the three - the coverage is the sheerest. The really nice thing about this one is the SPF protection. We are always looking for products with sunscreen in them. This one is really easy to blend and doesn't look dry on the skin. Unlike the other two concealers we've just mentioned, you apply this one with a wand, which is easy to use.
