|In Mary's Hair: L'Oreal Elnett Satin Hairspray / Sweater: Elizabeth & James / Lipstick: YSL Rouge Pur Lipstick in Le Fuchsia|
When it comes to using hairspray, we've been known to be a bit trigger happy. That's because a good hairspray not only keeps a hairstyle from falling flat, it acts as a protective shield. L'Oreal Elnett Satin Hairspray ($16) delivers on both of these levels. A staple of professional hairstylists, L'Oreal Elnett Hairspray is used at countless photo shoots and red carpet events. It's also constantly used on the runway. Moschino, Anna Sui, and Lanvin are just a few of the F/W 2012 shows where the hairspray was used backstage. In the above photo, I had just spritzed my hair with L'Oreal Elnett Satin Hairspray's Extra Strong Hold formula. What we like most about this hairspray is its ability to hold our hairstyle in place, while still allowing it to breath and move. Frozen helmet hair is not only unattractive, it doesn't look natural at all. Another thing we like about this hairspray is that it isn't sticky, tacky, or crunchy. Plus, it brushes out pretty easily. We are excited about trying out the Extra Stong Hold + UV Filter formula for color-treated hair. This formula is supposed to help protect hair color from fading in the sunlight as well as from humidity and other outdoor elements. An unscented formula is also available.
