Pretty Daytime Makeup Inspired By Chanel S/S 2012 Models

Lindsey's Eyes: Estee Lauder Pure Color Eyeshadow in Tea Biscuit / Cheeks: Chanel Powder Blush in Fantasia /Lips: Buxom Big and Healthy Lip Polish in Samantha
A daytime beauty look that's really stuck with us since Spring/Summer 2012 fashion week is the soft, glowy makeup seen at Chanel (seen here). We felt this was worthy of a post since it's an easy to achieve look that we find ourselves creating over and over again. The champagne-washed eyelids pared with pink cheeks and glossy lips is pretty for everyday and works with just about any outfit. Inspired by the glowing Chanel beauties, we created a similar look on Lindsey by first swiping her eyelids with Estee Lauder Pure Color Eyeshadow in Tea Biscuit ($20). We then applied black pencil eyeliner along her top lash line, followed with a swipe of Lancome Precision Point Liquid Liner ($29.50) right on top. We like a dramatic winged tip, so we extended the ends out a bit. You could also just keep it simple with pencil liner. For a tutorial we did in a previous post on how to a cat eye yourself, click here (instead of using brown liners, use black). After applying some black mascara, we swept on a bit of Chanel Powder Blush in Fantasia ($43) on her cheeks. Next, we rubbed a tiny bit of highlighter down the bridge of her nose and above her cheekbones. Finally, we used a swipe of Buxom Big and Healthy Lip Polish in Samantha ($18) on her lips. Give it a try! This soft, pretty look will work on anyone.
